I simply love this place from the owner and staff to the simplicity of the food and its taste. Been hooked since my first time and will continue to enjoy my lunches.

Healthiest and yummiest food so far during our Orlando, Cocoa trip. Choices of fresh juices, sandwiches, wraps and salads. Staff is all smiles and friendly. They helped us pick our meals. Highly recommend all the vegetarian & vegans to try Green Room cafe, we will go there once before returning home!!

The acai bowl I had was good, but a little too sweet. It could have been my fault. I got it with apple juice instead of soy milk. Our server was no fun. We tried asking which of the acai bows were her favorite and she got annoyed and rude real fast. This place has a great vibe though. It's definitely a local dive worth visiting for a healthy and affordable snack or lunch.

It was easy to visit here two days in a row and I have no shame in admitting that it was one of the first things I talked about when I returned to my home state--New Jersey...heyyyy! Although I've seen it on the menu, I tried my first wheat grass shot (for digestion and other benefits) for $2. Yes, it is pricey but that's the normal rate I've seen. The shot, nonalcoholic, tastes like a gritty frothy smoothy with a strange aftertaste. The chips and salsa that come with the wraps ($12) and sandwiches ($11) is dynamite. They really nailed it when it comes to their salsa. Not too chunky, it is sweet and just really friggin' good! Wrap- The Yogi is a hummus with avocado, sprouts, cucumber, carrot, cheese, mushroom, tomato and red cabbage. Each bite is refreshing and has a mushy (the hummus) veggie-like taste to it. It was likeable but on my 2nd visit I really was sold on the Sunrise sandwich. Sandwich- The Sunrise is advertised as though it is spicy but it couldn't be further from the truth! I'm not a big fan of a lot of heat so I ordered it hoping for the best. In between the bread is tuna salad, a so-called spicy (not really) mayo, Swiss cheese, apple, avocado, lettuce, carrot and jalapeño. The first that I noticed is that the tuna salad was not the canned type and isn't smothered in mayo. The apple was crisp, avocado was fresh and the sandwich was grilled just right. Not hot at all and the jalapeño tasted more like a pablano pepper. The sandwich is also served with my favorite salsa and a side of fried blue tortilla chips. Inside the cafe is a friendly surfer vibe that plays religious rock music. Although I didn't like the music, it also didn't bother me. The staff was cool and stopped over just to chit chat from time to time. The parking is street but there is a lot next door that is okay to park at. I left happy and healthy, no complaints there.

Everything is awesome. That's all you need to know. Now get up call a friend and go have a great meal at the Green Room.

Food is organic and delicious, GF and vegetarian options!! Orders the tropical acai bowl and the local pollen is AMAZINGGGG. Little misunderstanding with seating with staff and they were kind dinghy to give me a Tahitian vanilla blended coffee drink on the house!

  • Nancy O.

Awesome GF and Vegan choices and the non-GF Yogi wrap was excellent. Great service and very accommodating. Nice selection of GF desserts the cookies were yummy. We'll be back next time we're in the area

A gem hidden among the surf shops, fish shanties, and guac-tac $2 well drink watering holes, this place was a welcome oasis for our family after an exhausting day at the Space Center. Everything here appears to be fresh and tasty, though we limited ourselves to a couple selections: I had the Bondi, a wheat wrap with brown rice, black beans, and a Quorn beef substitute, washed down with a Kona Fire Rock PA. Wife enjoyed the vegetarian Ruebio, which is what it sounds like: a tofu Reuben that seems to have been named for Marco Rubio. I can't recall what sonny had (might have been The Duke, a kids meal we told him featured "chicken") but I believe he ate the whole thing, and that's good enough in my book. Both grownup entrees came with blue corn tortilla chips and delicious salsa. Decor was 'all surf, all the time,' but again, this place isn't quite what you'd expect for Cocoa Beach. It feels like it belongs in Brooklyn, not the Space Coast. Our server was as personable as can be, and revealed, after we told her where we'd been, that her dad was a payload specialist, working on some of the upcoming commercial launches out of the Center. Well, whaddaya know. A big shout-out to Yelp for helping us track the place down.

Colorful health-conscious organic sandwiches, soups & smoothies. It was great food and very filling. The wraps are worth the money. Perfect spot for lunch!

  • Matt S.

Easy to navigate menu. Good for the whole spectrum of omnivore to vegan. Delicious wrap. I recommend the yogi without cheese. The veg Reuben and the kids PB and bananas was a hit at our table. Definitely coming back.

Very cool place for vegetarian breakfast. their fruit bowls are good, though tasted like a little bit too much frozen fruit inside. A little bit pricey but worth trying if you are looking for healthy vegetarian or vegan meals.

  • Amy D.

This place is soooo good! Tuna sandwich (I think it's called the sunrise) and Mexican coffee/hot chocolate bowl. Seriously- if I lived here I would eat at this place all the time. You can't always tell by the photos but there are tables inside where you can sit down and eat comfortably. Everything is very healthy and flavorful.

AWESOME! Such a great place to eat healthy vegan or vegetarian food. Plus it has an amazing atmosphere! LOVE IT!!

This restaurant is a gem. Located in central cocoa beach, it's both accessible and satisfying. Vegetarians and carnivores will be pleased. I recommend the raspberry iced tea with any of the wraps or sandwiches.

We had four different sandwiches on two different trips (dinner then lunch the next day) to Green Room Café and I can't tell you which was my favorite because we loved them all. A beautiful Spirit hovers over this place, healthy and good for all who visit it.

My wife and I came down to the Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach area a day early prior to our cruise departure and were looking for a place to grab a good meal. Being vegetarians, it's sometimes difficult to find a meal that we would call excellent while traveling. I went on Yelp and came across this little gem! The Green Room Cafe. WOW! It's super quaint and cozy. The menu was pretty extensive and had a nice selection of sandwiches, wraps and salads. We started with a bowl of the Vegetarian Chili which was phenomenal! Had to have the cheese and onions on top of course :) My wife got The Vejjo (veggie burger) which was excellent and full of flavor. I went with The Spanish House sandwich which had tofu with a smokey sauce and veggies - incredible! Both came with a side of Blue corn chips and tasty homemade salsa. The service was superb and everyone in the place was friendly. Presentation of the food was great. Prices are more than reasonable. Fantastic experience and I would recommend this to any vegetarian and/or open minded individuals that are looking for a delicious, refreshing and nutritious meal. Will definitely come back the next we are even remotely in the area.

  • Jackie K.

Especially for this area, wow! Tons of choices for people with dietary restrictions (and the staff would accommodate any needs--it says so on their menu) I had the J-Bay (corn, banana peppers, rice and beans with the vegan sour cream)...it was really great. Large serving and the beans had good flavor. You get chips and salsa with the wraps and sandwiches so I used that salsa for the wrap. The spicy tofu sandwich was spicy--good flavors but too spicy for me. My aunt liked her tuna. Good smoothies too. Staff was friendly and our food came in a reasonable amount of time. Sangria was good!

  • Brendan C.

I really liked the chill atmosphere here. They serve non-veg and veg options, however, the lady at the host bar really knew her vegan options and was a huge fan of the vegan affair. I loved the local and acai bowl. Honestly, I'll always come back for "the local" sandwich. It's strange how peanut butter, bananas, pineapple, and granola can be an amazing mix and make me crave more! It's honestly one of the best sandwiches I've had and something I'll have to conjure myself in order to satisfy my cravings. This is definitely the best spot for vegan food on the space coast that I've been to thus far.

    (5)
  • Jonathan N.

The food is great there, the service is also very good. This is where I eat when I'm in Cocoa Beach. The one sandwich I really like is called the local.

  • Heather P.

We were craving Acai bowls and stopped by. The vibe was energizing, the bowls were amazing and the staff were very nice. :)

The yogi wrap was fresh and the atmosphere is great! The juice was fresh as well and service was great

  • Dana D.

I love this place & the staff is very friendly and personable. I'm always on the go & order takeout so have never sat in but I always get great service when picking up. I love the las palmas salad. The salads are pretty expensive, around $14, but it's worth it as the portion sizes are huge and it's all homemade.

On a trip from louisville, ky, a friend and I drove from Orlando for a beach day at cocoa beach. By the time we arrived mid-morning, we were both starved but wanted something that wouldn't ruin our "feel-good beach mojo". After spending a minute on yelp, we were drawn to the reviews and look of the green room cafe. From looking at the menu and yelp photos, I decided to go with the tropical bowl. This is a cold (very cold) dish that is truly remarkable. Basically the bowls are a smoothie topped with granola and fruit. I was hesitant to order it because I was already cold and preferred something warm, so I ordered a coffee. The organic coffee was so delicious and it warmed me up! A must try for coffee-lovers!! But back to the smoothie :) There are no words to describe how amazing it was except that it was fresh, light, filling, comforting, and we felt even better after we left than when we got there. Such delicious healthy food and something that I have thought about everyday (multiple times) since I've been back in Louisville. :p I would 100% recommend this place for anytime of day! Can't wait to visit again!!!

How is it that this place could be listed as vegeterian/vegan when it serves chicken? Tofu with provolone cheese, duh??? This place is as pretentious as it is opportunist. You don't need them to make a fake processed quorn meat sandwich or a "veggie" patty with cheese and mayo. Do they make anything of their own here? What they are good at is throwing cliches around: i.e. organic, green and "the goodness within." The goodness within, what? Certainly not the food. Maybe they are refering to the the off-theme surf boards or the religious paraphanalia they push at you. I suggest they call the place the Prosletizing Room. The only thing green in this place is the paint. As an addendum, readers should be aware that this "green" place serves quorn burgers made with mycoprotein. This highly processed ingredient has been linked to cases of diarrhea, blood in the stool and anaphylaxis by no less an authority than the Center for Science in the Public Interest. The report is available at this website: cspinet.org/new/20111201…

I love coming here for the Acai bowls! Out of all the Acai bowls I've tried this Acai is the most flavorful! I guess because they blend all the fruit into it! The girls who work here are always very sweet! I just wish they had outside seating because after I eat my bowl I'm freezing, it's cold in there!

    (4)
  • Tanya G.

Why does this place only have one location?!?! It kills me. LOVE THE GREEN ROOM!!!!!!! Always incredibly fresh and delicious :) I love the green room smoothie with almond milk instead of apple juice. The secret spot & pure life wraps are my favorites - completely different in taste so just depends on the mood of warm comfort or lighter crunchyness ;)

  • Kim S.

I love love love this little place. It is always so clean and the staff are very friendly. The wheat grass is really sublime, sweet and perfect. My not as healthy husband loves this place too. so bonus! I just moved to Virginia but I will be sure to stop back in any time I am in the area.

  • Matt H.

This place is really good and good for you. A little pricy but its worth it.

  • Christina R.

We were looking for a cool light-fare place to eat and this place hit the nail right on the head! Great food... Accommodating for my gluten allergy too! Certainly worth checking out for perfect portions, real food without breaking the bank. Only spent a few hours in this area, but this appears to be one of the more cleaner, safer looking establishments I could find through Yelp.

  • Melissa B.

Great spot in Cocoa to get something for lunch. I'd say that their sandwiches are fine, but the acai bowls are out of this world. The acai bowls are huge and also seem pretty healthy. It's got a beachy hipster vibe that I think a lot of locals dig. Definitely check it out when you're in the area.

Even though this is a beachside area there aren't many unique locations in this area that fully embrace the beach/surfer culture - but Green Room Cafe absolutely does. I have visited several times and I am always so impressed with the details in the decor, the incredibly nice service, and highly delicious (and healthy!) food. I'd be remiss if I didn't admit that I eat vegetarian and it is very hard to come by many places which cater so much to my eating style. If you think that influences my high opinion, I have brought several friends here who have loved the food and raved about finding such a perfect little beach spot to hang out. I've tried many items on the menu but always end up leaning towards The Yogi, a wrap of fresh yummy vegetable goodness (and some cheese to boot). Plus - it has avocado. You can't go wrong with that. The salads are ginormous, all the wraps can be converted into sandwiches, and (although unlikely with the sizable portions) if you have room - try the superb delish desserts! If you're unsure what to try, the servers have no problem helping you decide. All in all, Green Room Cafe is in my top list of local places to visit - again and again.

I just had a yogi wrap and my friend did also. The atmosphere and the staff was all very friendly. We even had a conversation with two of the chefs that were on staff and they were both very friendly as well. Anise or something was her name. Very friendly. I love eating healthy so I'd recommend this to anyone who likes eating good food.

Absolutely wonderful suggestion from a friend. Acai bowls and the homemade soup were delicious. Mine was a soup of the day made with a red pepper reduction. Great for lunch.

  • Rafal S.

I am so glad I discovered this place! I have to admit I'm a bit scared if anything strictly vegetarian, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the restaurant trendy and clean, and our waitress was very nice!

    (5)
  • Eddie C.

Great coffee and food! Good choice of healthy foods for vegetarians/vegans, and other people with dietary restrictions. The service is nice but seemingly stoned minus the cranky rude old lady that seems to linger around the counter. Honestly, I have no idea if she works there or if the half-baked (but very friendly) staff are too scared to make her leave. Awwwwwwkwwward...

    (3)
  • C R.

Never has a bad experience here. I love the wraps and smoothies. They are sooooo good. The prices are a bit high but you have to consider it is organic food. The staff is always friendly and informative about the menu. I like the vibe inside of the place and would love to see one come to Michigan. I would totally go back as I do everytime I am in Florida.

In town for the Space Coast Marathon and just found this jewel. My husband and teenage daughter loved it too so we'll be coming back.

Finally made it to the Green Room. Usually (99% of the time) if we're in Downtown Cocoa Beach, we're eating at Simply Delicious. But the YELP reviews have been so good for the Green Room, I finally talked the wife into going here for lunch today. WOW, for a carnivore, I have to say that their "Quorn Beef" wrap (the Bondi) was better than even a DaKine burrito. The flavor was fantastic. My wife enjoyed her 'Coastal' salad. No unflavored iced tea, though, and the place is a little small and was packed when we were dining. But overall, a healthy lunch spot, we'll eat here on Monday's when Simply Delicious is closed and we're jonesing for some good local grub.

    (4)
  • Molly C.

FILLING vegetarian cuisine? Wait? That exists? It does at Green Room. Every time I go, I tell myself that I'm going to try something new, but I just love my usual so much I can't bring myself to. Tahitian Vanilla Frozen Coffee The Local (toasted peanut butter sandwich with housemade granola, pineapple, and bananas). Instead of chips and salsa, the local is served with more housemade granola and organic raspberry yogurt. It is seriously magical. Eat it. The restaurant is small and comfortable. It's always clean and the service is friendly and attentive. Definitely a relaxed beach vibe. Even carnivores should give it a shot, there's something for everyone on the menu! As a side note, don't go with a large group- the largest table seats 6 and there's only one of those.

  • Andreea B.

Amazing food, amazing customer service, and a very cute restaurant! I always get the yogi wrap!! It's the best. The vegetables are always very fresh and crisp. The drinks are great too! Friendly atmosphere and great food. Can't get better than that.

Friendly service (Hi Tonya!), nice music, super clean and really convenient street parking. I was pleased. And that was before I even tasted my delicious smoothie or had a bite of my sandwich. You can't go wrong with the delectably spicy Sunset Sandwich (tuna!). Worth stopping by to try. Will be back!

#cocoabeach #vegan - A rare 5 stars! Cozy, with a great location just off the beach. Easy Access and a deceptively large menu of both food and drinks. Not completely vegan but close enough. Servings are large enough to share and all the meals come with a very tasty salsa and chips side. Service was helpful but not overbearing and very tuned into the local scene. Eat there, You'll thank me.

What a breath of fresh air for Cocoa Beach! I only wish I had found this gem earlier! Nonetheless will be visiting upon every other month visit to Cocoa Beach! Service is outstanding! Menu is broad and offers so many choices from vegan, to vegetarian, to delicious looking meaty sandwiches! So many healthy choices! All sandwiches are served with house made salsa and baked chips. Heaven! Price is perfectly fair. Ambiance is perfection. I am completely addicted to the Sunset sandwich, wheatgrass shot, and freshly brewed tea. Can't wait to visit soon!

  • Amanda Linette M.

Five stars for their serious respect of vegan and vegetarian eating. The woman who helped us was overly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. She even reminded us of what has honey in it! While we aren't that serious about it, it was nice that she actually acknowledged it. Delicious food, also! Amazing coffee. I would really like to see a selection of nut milks. . . such as almond or hazelnut for the coffee (in addition to soy). But still, really chill, friendly, and comfortable place. Average meal price is between $9-11.

  • Ann M.

Based on rave reviews on YELP, my husband and I had lunch at the Green Room Cafe as we were enroute to Vero Beach and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My husband had the Sunset Sandwich ... and although he is usually a meat and potatoes man, he thoroughly enjoyed their version of a tuna salad sandwich. I had the Yogi Wrap which was delicious as well as huge, so I shared about 1/3 of it with my husband (he has quite the appetite). We will definitely dine there again if we are passing through that part of FL.

Yum! Really good menu, lots of choices and lots of gluten free options. The salsa and chips are great. It's a little pricey. I felt like I was having lunch in Fairfax, California and that's a good thing! I will be back.

Great food - service has become unbearable. Thought earlier this week they may have been having an off night, went back today and after 10 minutes of failing to get a menu, acknowledgement, ANYTHING - we left. We went down the street to Roberto's where we were greeted with smiles, menus, and good food as well! Later, Green Room.

It was so refreshing to see this place pop up! I have been coming to Cocoa Beach for 20+ years to visit family and eating out was always challenging as a vegetarian. I was usually limited to salads. There was ample street parking and it's in a great location. I like that they have an entire smoothie menu and plenty of hearty healthy salads to choose from. I got the Inlet sandwich and it was delicious. I wasn't thrilled with the prices, to be honest. $9+ for a sandwich and chips and salsa seemed as pricey as a run of the mill NY specialty shop and the portions didn't necessarily make up for it, either. Regardless, the sandwich was delicious. They have a lot of gluten free options, too!

    (4)
  • Susie Q.

Excellent healthy smoothies, solid, organic food with many gluten free options. Great mild salsa & blue corn chips served with all sandwiches and wraps. Plus the atmosphere is so friendly & fun . A must-go casual eating experience in Cocoa Beach.

Three friends and I were in town for the Space Coast marathon; 1 vegan, 1 gluten intolerant, and 2 vegetarians, so we were concerned that it would be difficult to find a restaurant that was acceptable to all of us, so we were pleased when we hit the jackpot with the Green Room Cafe. The owner greeted us and explained that any item on the menu could be customized to fit our unique diet. The service was quick and the food was delicious. The desserts were so yummy that one would not know that they were vegan and also gluten-free.

  • Mark G.

I live locally and go here 2-3 times a week. It's one of my staples and the best, most consistent in town. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of great restaurants in CB, but this is one of the great ones. Very friendly staff and owner, the food is always great! Sunset sandwich - how can a tuna sandwich taste so DAMN good! Driftwood salad - those toasted almonds and tofu are yummy! The iced tea - unsweetened and tasty! Love it :)

    (5)
  • Dina A.

Cute little local establishment - the sandwiches come with yummy homemade Salsa and blue-corn chips. We split a Tuna Sandwich - called the Sunset sandwich had Avocado, Spicy Mayo, Greens etc. (HUGE enough to comfortably feed 2 people), and we split a Chocolate Raspberry Ganache cake (also good). OMG their coffee is AMAZING - apparently a local blend called Wahu coffee (or something like that) - but was as good as expensive Kona Coffee from Hawaii. Haven't tasted coffee as good as that since I was in Hawaii (so hence the 5 stars - as it was the coffee that eeeked the extra star). Our waitress was lovely - and the Green Room Cafe has a nice local vibe

  • Amanda B.

I'm so in love with this restaurant, it's ridiculous. It's really nice to be able to go out to eat, stuff your face, and not feel full and greasy for hours afterwards! It's vegetarian and organic, so you are guaranteed that everything there is pretty healthy. My personal favorites are acai smoothie bowls, "the local" pb sandwich, "the yogi" avocado hummus wrap, and "the golden fold" tofu wrap - it tastes like chicken teriyaki. yum Also, do NOT miss out on the wheat grass shots!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes wholesome, healthy food.

  • Pluto W.

Clean, cozy, healthy. What more could you want? The only reason not 5 stars is that at least what I ordered wasn't full of flavor. It was good but not fantastic. But very good. Other problem is that my sandwich had too much cheese and I ordered light cheese. Vegetarian does not mean I want loads of cheese for flavor. I wanted and expected more veggies on my wrap. BUT it was still very good, nice, clean, and I could solve the cheese problem by not ordered cheese next time (which IMHO would have made their popular sandwich better), in which case it would have been all veggies, which is what I wanted. Hubby had the tuna wrap which was also good. We will definitely be back. I'd encourage the owner to lower the cheese to veggie ratio--people who want healthy food don't want loads of cheese. But otherwise this owner is doing everything right, really great atmosphere, and loving care into the decor and the menu and everything else. We loved it overall and will be back the next time we visit Cocoa!

  • Mary R.

I love The Green Room. You can eat here and get great fresh reasonable vegan food, but best part your non vegan friends can get chicken or tuna wraps as well. I'm not usually a fan of wraps, but there's are soooo good. :)

    (4)
  • Anthony T.

Great atmosphere, friendly employees, and the best smoothies in the world. Only downfall it's has little selection to those who are not vegan. It is a little extreme.

    (4)
  • Adam S.

It's one of those places that has a menu full of "almost" vegan food. When you try to order something without the cheese or honey, you hear the record screech to a halt and everything goes silent. The food is edible, but nothing too awesome. Sysco products are used. So weird when an otherwise vegetarian place puts tuna on their menu. It's a pretty unethical choice with horrible implications on our ecosystem.

Been here a few times in the last year and always had a good experience. Most recent visit we enjoyed a sambazon bowl and tofu reuben. Friendly staff as usual. Prices are a bit high, but they always serve fresh ingredients.

YuM! I had the Green Room Cafe on my list of places to try when I went to Cocoa Beach, and I'm glad I stopped in. It's a cute, cozy little place (emphasize little - tables in every available space, and little room for people/waitstaff to move around without dancing around one another). It was busy at 2:30 on a Saturday, with all tables full and about 6 people waiting for tables when I got in. I got my J-Bay wrap to go; the owner (?)/manager took my order and she was nice, upbeat, interacting with customers, and serving tables. The J-Bay was filling and DELISH! The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the fact that there was tons of parsley in the salsa... I had to pick chunks of parsley bunches out. $7 and some change for a huge burrito-sized wrap + blue corn tortilla chips + salsa, and all organic/vegetarian ingredients. I love that I was able to eat healthy without sacrificing feeling satisfied! Too bad I'm leaving tomorrow, or I would definitely eat another meal here.

Great healthy food! Huge portion, I had the wrap with chili in it. A little pricey like all vegan food is, but super fresh and delicious.

So I was in Cocoa Beach for a conference, and wanted a departure from the hotel food everyone else was eating. A buddy and myself found this place on Yelp, and decided to check it out. 'Twas a very good decision. The food was excellent and the vibe was laid back. You know those meals that you eat, when you feel healthy after you're done? Yea. This is one of those restaurants. It's a tad bit pricey, but worth it. I'm not even vegetarian/vegan/octo-lavo-vegaterian, whatever, but I didn't even miss the meat at this place... Wait. That came out wrong. Anyways, check this place out if you want some delicious grub. The wheatgrass shots are HIGHLY recommended!

    (5)
  • Natalie K.

Delicious! I had the veggie chili and the small Emerald Isle salad; both were good though I'd like the chili to be a little spicier. The hubby had the Inlet and says it was "very good." He also tried the wheat ale and enjoyed that thoroughly. Such a cute little place and worth the money for the food!

  • Jenny P.

Got the Yogi and it was the best wrap I have had in my life. So many delicious greens, packed tightly with cheese and hummus and guac. Came with chips and salsa. Wrap was 11 bucks but I split it with someone else and it was plenty. Just rolled through town and went on a recommendation and what a great surprise! Go there and get the Yogi, you will freaking love it.

Since most restaurants along the beach offer fried, heavy foods, Green Room is a much welcomed change of pace. The last thing I want when I'm about to spend a day in the hot sun is to feel weighed down and greasy. After leaving here, you'll feel refreshed and energized to tackle the sweltering heat and screaming children along the beach. I would have given them five stars if it weren't for the higher prices and lack of direction when you walk in for the first time (Do I order at that counter? Do I just sit down? Am I supposed to wait to be seated?)

If you need something healthy and yummy, this is the place. Staff is helpful, decor is cool, Anisa is adorable, sweet and knows the menu inside out. Can't remember the last time I had a shot of wheatgrass. Smoothies galore too. As the Arnold says: "I'll be back!" Love the surf theme, eat in the area where the bar is and enjoy surf movies. And for those who don't surf, the green room is inside the tube of a wave, the ultimate place in the world for a surfer.

I have eaten at this restaurant twice while traveling. I am NOT a vegetarian and still love the food here. Start with the vegi chilli. Their natural sodas are good. I had the root beer. Try ordering 'The Secret Spot', which contains chicken, black beans, brown rice, spices and more. The dish comes complete with a hearty sala and blue chips. Eat those first. This meal is filling and a great break from steak. For dessert, try the chocolate dome. It has chocolateon the outside and chocolate mousse and devils food cake on the inside. A great end to a great meal!

This place is servin up some great veggie sandwiches and salads. It's a hippie granola crowd in bikinis and board shorts but their wraps rock! Yum! The one with the hummus was my fave. my only complaint is the service was so slow all three times i was there. Small place with only 10 tables and a small wheat grass hippy bar. But, that seemed to be the problem the owner wanted to hang out by the bar/register the whole time yakin with her daughter, lover, girlfriend(s) friends all three times I was there. work on the service and I will come back. See ya!

Just superb place. Healthy food, friendly service and close to the beach. I like all the surfing vids and the decor of the place! Did not quite understand all the religious paper postings near the kitchen but whatever!

A great find just off the main road. Food was exceptional! They were quite busy, but we felt "taken care" of by various staff. Will be sure to return next time we're in the area.

The only reason it's four stars instead of five was that the service was a little haphazard. To be fair, there was an arts festival going on, and the restaurant was immoderately busy. And the entire staff was very friendly and helpful when we could get hold of them. The restaurant is cute, small and devoted to tasty organic food. I had the tofu reuben, which sounds odd but was delicious. I used to love reubens before I became a vegetarian (decades ago now); that sandwich was a homecoming. This is definitely a small local business that I would support often if I lived in Cocoa Beach.

They messed up our order during cooking and we were waiting a while. The waitress came to apologize and informed us they would comp the meal. When we got our food a short time later they brought us an extra meal. All four meals were delicious, and not only did they comp all our food and drinks, they even brought extra. Will definitely return. They do have several dishes with meat if you aren't a vegetarian.

Awesome find. I was in town working with the Canaveral Port Authority, and it was nice to take a local lady to Green Room today for lunch. As a vegan, the menu was exciting... I kept it to look at while we ate so I could pick what smoothie I wanted to-go. The salsa was homemade, my wrap was over-flowing with fresh veggies. I took half my lunch to-go, and when I finish this review I'm going to finish it. YUM. A solid cafe. I wish we had one like it in Tampa. Eat well, Carolyn

Top-notch Vegetarian. Seriously - the only and best place to eat veggie in Cocoa Beach. I would highly recommend for everyone who needs a healthy meal! A few recommendations - the Acai bowls are amazing, try the Sambazon Cherry; The wraps are bigger than the sandwiches; Ask for the Chipotle sauce behind the counter; Get the veggie chili with "the works" (onions and cheese); Be prepared to wait for the smoothies because they take longer to make when its busy... Closed Sundays.

Unbelievably tasty food! Their chips and salsa are incredible and their wraps are huge! I'm not usually a wrap eater but after having one of these, I have been converted. Everything we ate was awesome. Don't be scared off by the prices, a $10 wrap is definitely worth every penny. You can taste the quality in their ingredients and won't be disappointed by their portions. This place is a great little healthy place to eat and has a cool beachy atmosphere.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I try and come here once a week. I admit, I am a meat-eater and can't imagine having to give it up. However, all the menu items at the Green Room are so tasty I don't even notice the lack of meat. They do have the sunset sandwich (tuna salad sandwich) which is absolutely amazing. The service is extremely prompt and very friendly.

I went there twice while on vacation in Cocoa Beach after reading the great reviews on Yelp. It is a small cozy restaurant that serves great food and provides excellent service. Everything that we tried was delicious and fresh. I had the J-Bay and the Yogi wraps. I like that all the wraps and sandwiches come with chips and salsa - really good spicy salsa. Def worth trying!!!!

We drove from Orlando to visit the beach for the day. My family wanted fast food, but I wanted something healthier. This place came up when I searched Vegan. I called them from the fast food parking lot, and they suggested the Yogi without cheese. I also ordered the vegan carrot cake. The food was ready as soon as we got there, and both items were delicious. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Cocoa Beach.

If more businesses likened themselves to the Green Room, the world would simply be a better place. I am not embellishing. I cannot stress it more: this is one of the most impressive dining establishments I have been to in a long time. -A varied menu of delectable items that you can't find elsewhere (& that are actually good for your body) -fun, original interior design -Kind, Personable service -Great serving sizes -Reasonable cost! Try any one of the wraps, a Acai bowl, or one of my favorites The Green Room smoothie. If you're looking for deep fried chicken fingers you won't find it; but please open up to this new, fresh, healthy menu of delicious foods. This is food, not food-shaped-objects that some "restaurants" try to feed you. I WISH there was a place like Green Room where I lived.

If I weren't trying to keep gluten free and dairy free, I would probably love this place. When we first were handed the menus, I saw on some of the wraps a note that says "not gf,vf" so naturally I assumed that everything else that didn't have a milk product was vegan friendly and gluten free. I was definitely wrong- I ordered one of the only wraps that did not have dairy in it and ate half of it before I found out that the tortilla they used had wheat and gluten, and the soy sauce they used was not gluten free (there is gluten free soy sauce that they can use should they choose to offer this in the future). The people who work there seem to be personally knowledgeable about what is vegan and gluten free, but the menu is misleading. It would be worth it to redo the menu to have it consistently read which dishes are vegan and/or gluten free, especially if it is within their mission to offer that kind of food.

This is a great, family atmosphere vegetarian cafe. Has great gluten free and vegan options (though not prepped in a gluten free environment). It's my favorite of this type anywhere, and I am a heavy traveler. If visiting the Florida Spacecoast, you have to give them a try!

Very good healthy food. I had a cup of black beans and rice, the "coastal" salad, and a "bluebird" smoothie. The beans and rice were great, and the coastal salad was very good, although there was a bit too much of the toppings and not enough lettuce. The smoothie was so-so, it was a bit watery. The service was very friendly. I'd definitely go back.

Love, love, love this place! We recently visited friends in Cape Canaveral and searched for veggie friendly restaurants on Happy Cow before we arrived. All four of us had a fabulous dinner of homemade soups (vegan) and a variety of sandwiches and wraps. Most items are veggie, many vegan. There is even a chicken dish for the carnivore. They also serve beer and wine which is always a plus. Sorry we didn't get to try the salads, desserts or their famous smoothies. Would have gone more but were only in the area for two days.

This place is seriously impressive. Let me first say, I am simply a fan of fantastic food. I am not a vegan, and although I do care about my health and eating well, I don't deny myself (I love my bacon, butter, and hamburgers). I only say this because I feel like this place might have otherwise alienated or intimidated someone like me, but because I was introduced to it in a pub by a friend, I can say that objectively - having nothing to do with the health aspect - their food and service is fantastic and well worth the experience. So far, I have had the Malibu shake, bean soup, the sunset tuna sandwich, and the Bondi. As I said before, I first had their food through a friend. I didn't know what I was eating or look at their menu. My friend ordered the Bondi for me (and no, I still have no idea what Quorn is). What I do know is that this giant meat(?) tortilla thing is delicious. It had the ooziest, meltiest cheese with the nicest spices, and heartiest black beans and rice. It is enough food for a late lunch and no dinner, a very stick-to-your-ribs food. They serve it with blue corn chips and a salsa that is also quite good. The tuna sandwich was quite fulfilling as well, fresh and classic. The Malibu is a coconut and mango shake and is also quite delicious. Still, the star so far is the Bondi, and I would easily have another and another! Beyond the food, the staff are really, really nice. I know how service can make or break a cafe like this, and I have to say, everyone I have ever come in contact with associated with the Green Room is awesome. I called one morning from work at a local bar. After not packing a sandwich, I learned after I got in that I was working a double (no lunch or dinner). So, I was kind of stuck and admittedly a little cranky. The woman on the other end of the phone was incredibly nice and helped me figure out what to order without the menu in front of me. She drove my lunch to me at work and it was still warm! I was so excited that it completely made my day. Really, that makes their cafe that much more extraordinary.

In an area surrounded by Ron Jon's and tourists, the Green Room Cafe is a great get away. The restaurant is small and has a surfing motif...shocker. As a meat eater, I was worried I would not find anything to eat. I was wrong. The Sunset Sandwich was amazing. They use pouch tuna instead of canned. While a bit on the pricey side, it is worth the money.

Even if you're not a vegetarian... You will love the food here. Everything tastes delicious and you know it's all good for you, just watch your portions, as I had a wrap here that was bigger than my head. Adorably cute on the inside, and parking is easy with a lot next to the restaurant. I really enjoy this place.

Date Visited: Thursday 11/12/09 (Dinner) After a long day of driving from Orlando to Merritt Island and then off to Cocoa Beach, we were in desperate need of some nourishment. We were told that the Green Room Cafe was just down the street of our last stop and once we got a Take Out menu and a very enthusiastic owner promise to tap dance for us if we came back, we decided we'd have dinner there. We went to the beach for a few minutes and took in the cute little kitties we found under a walkway before heading back to the Green Room Cafe. The cafe owner (?), Debbie, was great. She took great care of us and made sure that we knew vegan options were available for whatever we wanted. I ordered an Amazon Cherry Immunity smoothie and a J-Bay Wrap with soy sour cream on the side. First, the smoothie was thick and delicious. I nursed it the entire meal because I didn't want it to be gone unti tlhe end (though I could have gulped it down as soon as I got it). Next, the wrap. My father commented on the weight of his wrap and when I lifted my own (mind you, it was one-half of the actual wrap), I understood how one could be impressed with the weight. The wrap contained corn, zucchini, black beans, brown rice, and other goodies. I can't believe what a pig I am - I finished the whole thing. It puts the weight of a Chipotle burrito to shame and I'm sure it's more filling. It's served with blue corn chips and salsa. You will not need more food and you will not be hungry for hours and hours afterwards. For $7.25, you can't go wrong. Go and tell Debbie that this vegan told you to stop by and check them out. Wish I had tried the vegan German Chocolate Cake out, but who has the stomach room after a meal like I had?!

Just went back for lunch after my first visit over a year and a half ago. Still just as good and a real find in a town lacking for quality food let alone food for a vegan like me. While not a vegan restaurant it does serve quality food for anyone looking for a good meal in a neat little place.

  • S. J.

I have been here a few times but last couple visits seem like quality is not the same and it is getting pricey. Some of their ingredients are organic but you don't know which ones and every time I go in prices have gone up. My last visit I ordered the vegetarian chili, nothing special very bland. I was asked if I would like cheese and vegan soy sour cream with my chilli. I assumed if this was extra charge my server would have informed me. No, she didn't. I got a bowl of chili (not completely full) which had no taste for $6.50 and then I was charged $2.00 extra for cheese and sour cream. So I paid $8.50 for a bland little bowl of chilli that I don't even think was organic. I also ordered a little side of salsa and was charged $2.50 for this. Their salsa is made out of canned tomatoes (also not organic). Owner gave me some interesting rational on how Italian tomatoes are natural and canned is better for salsa consistency. I make fresh salsa all the time with fresh ingredients as do many local Latin restaurants. Their dessert prices were outrageous. $4.95 for a little carrots cake cupcake that was supposedly organic. Owner is not very friendly and has a bit of an attitude if you ask about ingredients and what they use. I used to like GR a lot but other places are popping up with fresh, natural foods and more vegetarian options. If they have all organic food and ingredients than I think guess their higher prices are justified. I just don't want to pay $12.00 for a bowl of chilli and side is salsa that wasn't even that good or organic.

Everything is organic and fresh and delicious! The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Right away she asked if we were vegetarian and pointed out items we may want or want to avoid. I thought the prices were a little high, but everything is so fresh and of course, organic is more expensive, but also, the portions were generous enough to share. The tofu on my sandwich was seasoned nicely and had a good, firm texture. I wish we had a place like this in Orlando.

Gluten free substitutes! Everything is a wrap, a sandwich, or a salad. We ate here twice in a 24 hour span. I ordered the hummus wrap, with a gluten free wrap. It was DELICIOUS. Stuffed with fresh veggies. The wrap itself was excellent, it wasn't plain, boring gf. My son ordered from the children's menu, and ate everything. The chips are great, the salsa so fresh and tasty. They have Blue Sky soda, so we ordered root beers. The vanilla bean cheesecake was good too. So happy we got real veggies while on vacation. Plus, it's close to the beach. The coffee wasn't anything to shout about, that's my only complaint.

I tried this out today after reading about it on Yelp. Glad we did. I had the Ruebio sandwich. It was a Reuben made of grilled tofu, kraut, crisp cucumbers, Swiss cheese & 1000 island dressing. I was hesitant to try it, but it turned out to be delicious. It comes with chips and salsa. My daughter had the Inlet sandwich: Quorn mushroom patty, mayo, lettuce, sprouts, tomato & carrot and vegan cheese. She said it tasted like a Wendy's chicken sandwich, but way better and healthier. The menu is mostly vegetarian and vegan with a bit of tuna and chicken thrown in there for carnivores. It's definitely worth trying next time you're at Cocoa Beach.

I came to Cocoa Beach for the last launch of the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Cocoa Beach is a great place for restaurants if you like highly processed animal products and industrial strength transfats etc. I found this through Yelp (thank you thank you) and twitter. I had a big wrap for lunch and I brought it back to the hotel and just had the leftovers for dinner. I unwrapped the leftover wrap and the ingredients were fresh and top notch, esthetically pleasing, and highly entertaining to eat! Good food in Cocoa Beach. Who would have thought?

The food here is pretty good and the service was awesome. Everyone was very happy with. Desserts are massive, but the carrot cake is the thing I remember most. If you go there make sure you get that (even if it means not ordering dinner or sharing dinner). Everyone loved the atmosphere and we all enjoyed the food.

Delicious food! I'm not a vegetarian, so I was pleasantly surprised to find chicken on the menu. I opted instead for a delicious tuna sandwich platter. Great food, pleasant service. A little slow to refill my drink, but overall a great meal. I'll definitely go back.

We really enjoyed our lunch here and would come back for sure. We had the shorebreak smoothie and the flavors were great, but it was too thick to drink. Needed more ice and then a bigger glass. We also got the ruebio and spanish house sandwiches. They were wonderful! Husband could have gone for a little bigger portion though, next time he'll try a wrap as they look larger than the sandwiches. We also tried a brownie and a chocolate covered mousse dessert and they were both quite tasty. One thing that surprised us was that there isn't a bike rack at an organic restaurant. Really tasty tofu sandwiches though!

Finally a place to eat out at Cocoa Beach! As an Orlando resident who goes to Cocoa when I need a weekend beach excursion, I usually bring my own snacks and food if I'm staying overnight at a hotel or suite on the beach. After going vegan I wondered if there were any vegan-friendly places to eat and found this little gem on Yelp. My sister and I stopped in to grab lunch before driving back to Orlando this past Monday and had a delicious experience. She ordered the the Golden Fold wrap and I had the J-bay wrap. Everything was tasty and healthy and the salsa was amazing as well, so good and made fresh. As we were waiting for our order, a staff member came over to the family of four next to us and told them that they have a "pay it forward" system where they get to choose a table per shift to give a free meal to and that she had chosen their table. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in the area.

What a great restaurant! It's always nice to find a place with a wide variety of healthy, delicious and nutritious options beyond your basic salad. As a vegetarian who is often stuck with a side salad for dinner while everyone else eats their fish sandwiches, I was so excited to find Green Room. I was so overwhelmed by how good everything on the menu sounded, I would have to go back every day for a month to try it all! The sandwich called "The Local" was absolutely delicious and a perfect late lunch after a day on the beach. The staff was super friendly and the food was fresh. I strongly recommend Green Room to anyone visiting Cocoa Beach, vegetarian or not. There's something for everyone!

Calling all vegetarians! Good veggie food is not easy to find. I should know as I have been a vegetarian for over 20 years. The Green Room has a friendly staff and awesome food at excellent prices. My group had three dishes (wraps and sandwiches). All wete great. Home made salsa and dressings and deserts. Cozy little place off the main drag. Interesting dishes and drinks.

Located in a town with an abundance of seafood, the Green Room Cafe (previously Cafe Surfinista) promotes optimal health and wellness with a wide variety of fresh fruit smoothies and energizing Acai bowls, greens mixed with nutritious fruits and nuts, daily soup specials, veggie-packed sandwiches and wraps, and gluten-free baked goods. I was wowed by the Tropical Bowl and my friends enjoyed the Inlet's quorn mushroom patty- texture and taste reminiscent of chicken, and Vejjo- the restaurant's take on a veggie burger. My food pics are at itsallfare.com/2011/02/g…
